From the local police blotter:

A 21-year-old Urbana man was issued a notice to appear at the 200 block of East Green Street on Friday morning.

According to a police report, the offender had been observed urinating in public.

What does he have to do when he appears at the 200 block of East Green on Friday morning?

A 19-year-old woman was issued a notice to appear at The Highdive, 51 E. Main St., Friday morning.

According to a police report, the offender was a minor in possession of alcohol.

They want her to show up at a bar on a Friday morning? What kind of cockamamie town is this?

(I could go on about how apparently it’s permissible to possess controlled substances everywhere but at the intersection of Goodwin and Eureka, but I won’t.)
