ROYAL JELLY

Imperial Whatzamahoozits
Who writes the fact sheets coming out of the White House? Because this makes me itchy:

In honor of the Her Majesty Queen Elizabeth II of Great Britain and His Royal Highness The Prince Philip, Duke of Edinburgh the attire for the State Dinner is white tie. This is the first white tie event that the President and Mrs. Bush have hosted.

Do they have an editor? How would you go about getting that job?

Fun fact: They’re using the Clinton china for the state dinner.
A bee

Here’s another fun fact: Queen Elizabeth has 10 times the lifespan of workers and lays up to 2,000 eggs a day. (Thanks, Ignatz!)

You might enjoy a visit to the official website of the British monarchy, which is where I nicked the copyrighted photo of the Imperial Whatzamahoozits. There are only a few photos of the queen at the White House site right now, but there is a pic of some worker bees being crushed by the Union Jack, and … hey, everybody, it’s Cinco de Mayo!

You could take the extraneous comma out of yesterday’s headline of the day, but yeah, it would be better to just start that sentence all over from scratch.
