WHAT WE TALK ABOUT #23

Posted on Wednesday 25 April 2007

There are funny ways to make a prank call to a Chinese restaurant. A couple of guys with a radio show decided to skip the funny and go straight to the racist. Surprisingly, Chinese Americans were offended. Who could have seen that coming?

I read about this on a forum where the comments went on and on about free speech… which has nothing to do with it. There is no “open discourse” involved. Or forefathers did not fight for the right to harass businesses with hate speech. In fact, the harassent is illegal, isn’t it? And free speech means the governent can’t censor you, it has nothing to do with your eployer. I hope they get canned, then they can be free to say what they want and no one will listen.

Jv and Elvis got screwed by a private interest group that just wanted, like Sharpton, their 15 minutes of fame. If this call was racist than shit, take the comedy catalogs of about 95% of most popular comedians, and have them on a gag order and let every single idiot who got their feelings hurt call them every name in the book and have them banned from comedy… This group DIRECTLY caused the Doghouse to be taken off the air, their was no opposition to be heard, only threats and demands by a small ammount of people… So now no one is able to listen, no where no how… Don’t try and suger coat it… If you support it, call it what it was and that’s censorship. You got your feelings hurt, real adults can just flick the switch or change the channel.. If the ratings were low, they would have been fired- That’s one thing, but by force…Hell no don’t even try it. OCA…The C for censorship.
