He always looks drugged in the more poorly scripted photo-ops. The yuppie culture has always been big on pharmeceutical supplements and we know from at least one source that it still is.
I would say that the poor man’s freudian symbolism is that photo-op is purely for the repressed wingnut demographic, the one that went wild over the flight suit. This link remains very disturbing.
