A Coast Guard cutter blocked off a section of the Charles River for several hours. Officials from the F.B.I. and the Homeland Security Department were called in, as well as bomb squads, and extra police officers were deployed around the city.

The artists hired to do that campaign were friends of friends. It was unpleasant when they were arrested on $100,000 bail just because the city decided that it’d come off reaaaallly stupid unless it could make the terror threat thing look as real as possible.
