This issue of Chief Illiniwek is beginning to get ridiculous. These American Indian tribes need to put a sock in it. There is nothing degrading about these images. I would be proud to have my nationality showcased in this manner.
Let’s face it, there are many images in our society that depict American Indians — chewing tobacco, hardtack, etc. At almost every truck stop, one can find imagery of the American Indian – many of them with spears or arrows in hand. Why do they never complain about these things? They need to stop crying like little babies and grow up.
