Hey, let’s all join the military and get RFID dogtags implanted under our skin! At least that’s in the near future if VeriChip Corporation has anything to do with it. They’re currently negotiating with the Pentagon to supply chips to all military personnel. While they’re at it, they wouldn’t mind tagging other types of employees, and pretty much everyone. And hey, let’s track everyone who’s got an implant, using Google Maps. Sooner or later, everything ends up as a Google Maps hack, right? This is awesome. Anybody anywhere will know where everybody is all the time.
I’m of two minds. Sure, I’m paranoid, like these people:
… but I would also like to embrace the future, like these people:
Guess I’ll be keeping one eye on the scary stuff and one eye on the fun stuff, AS PER USUAL.
