FIVE THINGS TAG

Posted on Saturday 29 July 2006

Apparently I was tagged by Nothing To Do With Arbroath back in March, but I didn’t notice until I ran a Bloglines search for my site just now. Whoops. Guess I’d better pony up my answers.

What were you doing ten years ago?

I was working as a girl Friday for a klezmer band and a film production company. Lori Lippitz brought me on board to help out with the behind-the-scenes details of running the Maxwell Street Klezmer Band; and her dad, (the late, lamented) Chuck Lippitz, found out about me and hired me too. I’d be over at Lori’s, and Chuck would phone and say, “I need Lisa today,” and a tug-of-war would ensue. They were both really great people to work for.

What were you doing one year ago?

Pretty much the same thing I’m doing now: living out in the sticks, working as a freelance editor (mainly for these folks), going out for pints on Friday nights, and occasionally getting out to play the fiddle.

Five snacks you enjoy:

  • Baozi
  • Potato chips
  • Blanched almonds
  • Wasabi peas
  • Just about any sort of fruit

Five songs to which you know all the lyrics:

Cripes, knowing lyrics used to be part of my job. I’ll pick ones that are already uploaded, just so I don’t have to actually think.

Five things you would do if you were a millionaire:

  • Set up my daughter with her own bakery/café
  • Buy a house
  • Travel like mad
  • Buy a decent fiddle bow (You think I’m joking, don’t you?)
  • Fund struggling artists and such

Five things you like doing:

  • Web surfing
  • Playing and listening to music
  • Eating brains
  • Reading
  • Cooking

Five things you would never wear again:

I honestly can’t think of anything specific, but there must be at least five articles of clothing in my closet that I can’t fit into anymore, now that I’m the Amazing Sedentary Woman.

Five favourite toys:

  • Computer
  • Fiddle
  • Stuffed hedgehog (I actually have a collection)
  • Brain
  • Fire

You’re it!

Since I am so late in doing this, I’m not tagging anyone–but please consider yourself tagged if this is something you’d like to do.
